 | Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a martial art and combat sport that focuses on grappling and ground fighting with the goal of gaining a dominant position and using joint-locks and chokeholds to force an opponent to submit. BJJ can be trained for self defense, sport grappling tournaments (gi and no-gi) and mixed martial arts (MMA) competition.

Beginner Jiu-Jitsu This class focuses on learning the fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Students practice various techniques using a traditional gi/kimono. Beginners will learn and practice break falls, escapes, positioning, leverage and opening the guard.
Advanced Jiu-Jitsu Once a student has become competent in the basic positions and movements in the Beginner Jiu-Jitsu Class, they will be ready to train in our Advanced Class.
The Advanced Jiu-Jitsu further hones the student’s basic skills. Students will learn more about how to effectively control and escape from all the basic positions.
Students will also learn more advanced submission holds and will obtain a more technical understanding of Jiu-Jitsu and the proper application of the various techniques for competition.
No-Gi Class Also known as submission grappling, this class teaches students the application of Jiu-Jitsu and wrestling techniques without the use of the traditional gi/kimono. Students will learn armlocks, chokes, takedowns, and sweeps. |
